Yes Reedbeds only need a small area of land, and are sized as being 1m2 per person, or 100 Litres per m2. Our prices are normally a third of the price of alternative and substitute waste water treatment systems. Often existing septic tanks no longer flow freely to soakaways, so that black and stinky water bubbles up, creating a disgusting danger to health. Yes Reedbeds are simple and cost effective solutions to these problems. No one need live in such conditions in the 21st Century. We have built more than 240 reedbeds for homes, for barn conversions, for housing developments, for holiday centers, for industry, anywhere there is no connection to the mains sewer. We believe that Yes Reedbeds are the Best design, they are Built by the the Best Technicians, to the Highest Standards, with the Best After Sales Care and for the Best Prices. We build the reedbeds, make return visits to make sure the systems become established, and should anything go wrong in the future you simply call us and we will pop back to put things right. When we make return visits we will take samples and do tests for BOD, COD, Suspended Solids, Ammonia, Nitrates, Phosphates, ppm, uS, and pH. The reedbed will reduce pollutants by 50% on completion, rising to 99% within 3 months. No other system works quicker, as all systems use the same principles of waste water treatment. Our prices are clearly listed below. No other system works better, and none have the after care included in such low prices.
Yes Vertical Flow Reedbeds are a soil and gravel construction, contained in a Sodium Bentonite Liner. Yes Reedbeds are sized as being 1m2 per person per day. So 4 people living in a house would need 6m2 of reedbed. Ten people would need 10m2 and so on. Yes Reedbeds are vertical flow and need a slope so effluent flows on top of the reedbed, and down through and out of the bottom of the opposite end.
If there is no slope, then we would need to pump from a manhole arrangement, onto the top of the first reedbed. We need to know where the flows will go to. If we can discharge 10 metres from a water course ( Ditch, Stream or River ) into our Living Soakaway. This is an area two feet deep with a 50:50 mix of soils and gravels, planted up with iris, willow and a range of wetland plants. The flowering plants help make this a feature, and they evaporate large volumes of water. A discharge more than 10m from a water course means it is technically discharging to land ! This feature does help gain approval for whole project developments

These prices are for fully installed systems, anywhere in Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland. They are for normal conditions. Abnormal, or difficult digging conditions ( solid rock, concrete, tarmac, hidden foundations etc ) may require additional time and equipment. But these would be no more than nominal additional fees. Some sites need a manhole and pump to lift water for flat sites. And some people want a fence for the reedbed. For us to provide these items would mean an additional charge, which is approximately £150 for either of these items.

And there is no after sales care for these prices. If the system doesn't work, or is somehow damaged, then it is your fault and they won't help. Once you have decided to have a YES Reedbed, then we would be most happy to make a site visit. The cost of the visit is in the price of your reedbed. So have a good look.
